Applications to the Masterclass are not accepted at the moment.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS

Participants are expected to have experience in pursuing extended photographic projects, as well as to have done some research and formulated their interests and preliminary ideas on the project prior to the Masterclass. Importantly, they should be prepared to work independently, experiment, play, challenge themselves, and have an adventure!

The working language of the programme is English. A digital camera and laptop are required for Session no.1.

To apply, submit an electronic APPLICATION FORM, including an initial idea of the project you would like to develop during the masterclass, and a selection of up to 15 images. 24 participants will be selected in cooperation with the tutors. 

PARTICIPATION FEE (2019/2020)

The Masterclass participation fee is 2600 EUR if paid at once (or 2850 EUR if paid in 3 installments). The participation fee includes accommodation and all meals during the workshop sessions 1 and 3 (Nida and Kuldīga), accommodation during session 2 (Sicily), as well as costs of production of the final exhibition. The travel costs to the session locations and work production costs are the responsibility of the participants. 

Fee subsidies: Latvian participants who haven't previously taken part in the Masterclass as well as one foreign participant who cannot afford the full fee can apply for a subsidised fee - 1300 EUR if paid at once (1450 EUR if paid in 3 installments).

The participants must confirm their participation in the Masterclass and pay the full fee, or the first of the three installments, within a week of receiving the admission notice (around the end of July).

No reduction is made for sessions not attended. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the masterclass, the full fee will be reimbursed to the participants.
